... that I had a blog that went utterly untouched for over a year? Yeeaaahhh, about that...
Here's something new! I designed a t-shirt for You and Who, a get-one-give-one company that sells artist-designed shirts.
Visit http://youandwho.com/labrynation.html to check it out, and take some time to explore all the other awesome designs too!

New Site!
Hello All!
I just created a new website which hopefully will behave a little bit better than my current one... you know, the one that still has broken links because I no longer have access to DreamWeaver? Yeah, that one. Anyway, you should check it out! Still under construction, but it'll have a full gallery, all my info, resume, etc., and even a super quick and easy way to contact me! Gettin' fancy, I know. Go here: http://jenbacher.artdealers.com

Zeke

Because I have (or had, I suppose) such a wonderful instructor this year, I was allowed to do a little character design for my 'Project 2' in animation! I was inspired by Bill Peet's The Pinkish, Purplish, Bluish Egg and decided to design a griffin. Maybe someday I will throw some color on him and do a nice, digital painting?

Doo-Doodles

Wow! I haven't posted anything new since November! I treated myself to an evening at Barnes and Noble earlier this week and came back with a new journal... I did this random fish doodle thing in it this morning. And last night I was doodling and ended up with a page of weird birds, goofy dinos, and a yawning lion. That's really all I've got at the moment. In the meantime you might like to visit my website. Yes, I know some of the links are STILL broken. Fear not for they shall be mended as soon as I have time between thesis and writing papers and keeping an environmental science journal and trying to get a decent amount of sleep.... OK, so it may be awhile. But there's still plenty of work there for your viewing pleasure so give it a look-see :)

What I left behind

So it's back to work here in Sarasota, but I thought I'd share a couple of my favorite photos from the place I've called home for the last three summers. Now can you see why it's so hard to leave? Already got a lot to do for senior year, but things have been chugging along smoothly so far. I've got a figure class this semester! Look for some sketches to be posted soon!

Back in the mountains!
I wish I could've gotten my blog off to a more substantial start before high-tailing it out of the Sunshine State for the summer, but, alas, I did not. And now that I'm in the mountains for the summer I will only get the chance to have internet access on the weekends... not that I'll have time to do much in the way of artwork. Hopefully I will be able to take some photos of the awesomeness that is my home for the summer (Camp Lutherock in Newland, NC) and get those up, but for now I must bid adieu to the wonderful world of technology. Have a wonderful summer!
